The Charles M. Reigeluth Emerging Researcher Award

The Change Division seeks to recognize early career scholars whose work is emerging as important to the field of systemic change, diffusion of innovations, systems theory or change management. The Emergent Researcher Award is presented to the scholar who is less than 5 years into a full-time academic position, or is still in graduate school. This award is based on the body of work to that point.
Anyone may submit a nomination.
Qualifications:
* The nominee needs to be a member of the Change Division of AECT and less than 5 years into a full-time academic position, or still in graduate studies.
Disqualifications:
* Nominee may not be a past winner of this award.
* Nominee may not have occupied a full-time academic post for more than 5 years.
* Nominee may not be currently serving as a member of the Change Division Awards Committee.
Procedure:
The nomination procedure is outlined below:
* Nominations will be by signed letter or email. Self-nominations are welcomed. All nominations must include a complete vita for the nominee as well as a short (not more than 500 words) statement providing the rationale for the nomination.

Charlie Reigeluth has a B.A. in Economics from Harvard University and a Ph.D. in Instructional Psychology from Brigham Young University. He taught high school science for three years. He has been a Professor in the Instructional Systems Technology Department at Indiana University since 1988, and was chairman of the department for three years. He co-founded the Division for Systemic Change in AECT and founded the Restructuring Support Service at Indiana University. He has worked with several school districts to facilitate their systemic change efforts. He served on the Indiana Department of Education Restructuring Task Force.
